Welcome to Out of The Ashes Large Animal Rescue, a sanctuary for neglected, abused, and mistreated large animals. We specialize in equine care and provide a safe haven for animals in need. We have an open door policy, with free tours of our facility.
Initial Visits
While we have an open door policy, we ask if you haven't visited us before to schedule and initial visit. Contact us below to schedule an initial visit. This way a staff member or volunteer can give you a tour, go over any 'dos' or 'donts' and introduce you to our animals. Initial visits are by donation.
Farm Rules
1. Under NO circumstances are you permitted to enter a pen, stall, field or pasture
2. Smoking or e-cigarettes are not permitted
3. Littering is not permitted
4. Outside treats for the animals (apples, carrots, etc.) are not permitted
5. Dogs are allowed on the property however they must be LEASHED and under control at all times
6. Always listen to the direction of staff and volunteers

Can we feed the animals treats?
Yes! We have treat bags available for sale in the barn for $10.00 per bag. Outside treats such as apples or carrots are not permitted due to some of our animals strict diets.
Can I adopt one of your animals?
No, we provide all of our rescued animals with a life long home. However if you are in search of adopting a large animal we may be able to direct you to another rescue.
How can I volunteer?
Contact us to learn about volunteer opportunities! We are able to sign off on highschool volunteer hours.
What events/fundraisers are coming up?

I know of an animal that needs a home, can you help?
Never hesitate to reach out to us about an animal in need. We will do our best to provide assistance.
How can I donate?
We accept donations via cheque, cash or e-transfer.
Any donation $25 or over are eligible for a tax receipt.
